Katie Taylor is a freelance costume professional for TV, film and live events based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. Over the past five years, she has worked on multiple independent films and high-end TV programmes as an alterations hand, maker, dresser and standby for principals and crowd.
In 2023, Katie began her first endeavours into design, sourcing the costumes for the short film 'Benji' by Oscar Garth. Since then, she has collaborated with Voices, a community arts organisation, to design and create a costume to be worn on Gloucester Day Parade, titled the 'Costume for Gloucester' (a project inspired by the wonderful Red Dress by Kirstie Macleod).
Most recently, Katie has been commissioned by the Museum of Gloucester to create an art piece for their Buttons, Badges and Blazers exhibition, designing a concept contemporary uniform to be displayed alongside their collection. Katie's work can currently be seen on The British Red Cross where she liaised with creative and strategy agency Raw London to source and distress costumes for their newest campaign advert.
